Tunkalilla Beach
Tunkalilla is a long, exposed south-coast beach beneath steep grassy slopes. It rewards a prepared coastal visit with expansive scenery, but is not a casual swimming destination. The visitor-centre map pin marks the public approach high above the beach. Tunkalilla Beach Road is steep and unsealed: the visitor centre specifies 2WD access only in dry weather, otherwise 4WD or AWD. A steep walking trail descends to the beach, with a demanding climb back. The driveway behind the locked gate is private. This is an unpatrolled beach unsuitable for swimming.
