Sellicks Beach
At Sellicks, steep hills and cliffs frame the southern end of the Adelaide–Fleurieu coast. The long sandy shoreline offers a strong scenic contrast to the flatter metropolitan beaches. Meet at the foreshore car park beside the main beach-access precinct on the Esplanade, then follow the pedestrian route to the sand. Keep clear of cliff edges and unstable faces. Vehicle access and boat launching have separate rules and depend on current conditions; check council signs rather than assuming you can drive onto the beach. Before visiting, check current beach advice and algal-bloom updates: https://www.algalbloom.sa.gov.au/ Photo 1: serge doublet — CC BY-SA 3.0 (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0).
