Second Valley Beach
Second Valley is a small Fleurieu cove where a jetty separates a sandy eastern beach from a rocky western shoreline. Folded rock formations and views across the bay make it appealing for a coastal visit and photographs; snorkelling and diving are popular when conditions suit. Follow Finnis Vale Drive to the small beach car park. Public toilets and a picnic area are listed by the visitor centre. Use designated public access and allow for a compact beach rather than a long metropolitan foreshore. The beach is unpatrolled. Rocks and reef need care, and calm-looking water is not a guarantee of safe conditions. The visitor centre does not list facilities for access needs; confirm suitability before travelling if step-free access is essential. Check current dog rules and beach signs. Before visiting, check current beach advice and algal-bloom updates: https://www.algalbloom.sa.gov.au/
