Port Noarlunga Beach, Jetty and Reef
Port Noarlunga combines a sandy beach, a long jetty and an offshore reef with a village of cafes and small shops nearby. The reef gives this destination its distinctive character and attracts snorkellers and divers when conditions and experience allow. Use the public foreshore entrances near the jetty and check current jetty access before travelling. For a land-based outing, pair a beach walk with a stop in the village. Southport and the river-mouth beach are separate destinations, so agree on the jetty precinct when arranging to meet here. The reef is in a protected marine area. Check marine-park rules, tides, swell and current beach advice before entering the water. Swim between the flags when patrols are operating; snorkelling and diving require appropriate equipment and experience. Public toilets, parking and food options are listed around the precinct. The reef can also be viewed from the jetty; entering the water is optional, not necessary to enjoy the setting. Before visiting, check current beach advice and algal-bloom updates: https://www.algalbloom.sa.gov.au/
