Blowhole Beach
Blowhole Beach is a small cove beneath the steep valleys of Deep Creek National Park. Its appeal is the remote coastal setting and a demanding walk down from the hills. The pin marks Cobbler Hill Picnic Area on Blowhole Creek Road, the start of the signed beach hike. Parks SA lists a 3 km return walk with a steep climb back. Bring water, suitable footwear and enough time for the return. The separate vehicle track to the lower beach car park is 4WD-only; park entry fees apply. This is an unpatrolled beach. Parts of Deep Creek remain closed for bushfire recovery. Check the latest park map and closure notice before travelling, and do not enter closed trails: https://www.parks.sa.gov.au/know-before-you-go/closures-and-alerts/deep-creek-national-park-14 Before visiting, check current beach advice and algal-bloom updates: https://www.algalbloom.sa.gov.au/ Photo 1: RetroBorg — public domain.
